Village Topics

A: The village is open Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

A: The Village Planning Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm. The Village Board Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00pm (following the Planning Meeting) The Committee of the Whole Meetings are held the 1st Thursday of each month at 6:30pm.

A: Visit My Vote Wisconsin to view upcoming elections, update your registered voter information, request an absentee ballot or register as a new voter.

A: You pay your first installment or entire real estate tax bill by January 31st to the Village Clerk Treasurer. You can pay by cash or check at the Village Hall or pay online or view your tax bill at https://www.co.walworth.wi.us/214/treasurer (Your second installment or any payments after January 31st go to Walworth County Treasurer)

A: You may view the Comprehensive Plan at the Village Hall during normal business hours or view and download an online copy on our website under Dept, Clerk Treasurer.

Water/Sewer Utility

A: You can make a utility payment online on our website under "Utility Payments" You can also make payments in person with cash or check during normal business hours. Check payments can also be placed in any of our two drop boxes or mailed.

A: The Wisconsin DNR Consumer Confidence Report for drinking water in the Village of Genoa City is available on our website under the Department of Public Works.

Forms and Permits

A: Forms and permit applications can be found on the front page of our website and may be downloaded from our Forms Directory. Some of our forms are fillable and can be sent to us directly. Any form can be acquired at the Village Hall.

Garbage/Recycling

A: Trash is picked up every Wednesday with recycling on alternate weeks. Please have containers at curbside by 6am. The trash/recycling schedule and approved recycling material list is available.

Service is provided by Johns Disposal.

Dog Licenses

A: Municipal Dog Licenses are required in the Village of Genoa City. Dog licenses expire on December 31st of each year. A current Rabies Vaccination Certificate is required if expired or if a new license.

Parks

A: There are two pavilions that may be reserved at Veteran's Park on Fellows Road in Genoa City. The Large Pavilion and Small Pavilion. The Large Pavilion can be rented with the serving room or without Please check our website calendar to make sure your date is available.) An application form will neec to be completed along with payment to hold the reservation. You can find more information on our park website page.

Police Inquires

A: The office administrative hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. However, an officer is always on duty. In case of an emergency, please dial 911.

A: Parking citations can be paid with cash or check at the Genoa City Police Department, or by mail:

Genoa City Police Department, PO BOX 428, Genoa City, WI 53128. Please include your name, citation number and license plate number when mailing a payment.

A: Traffic or Municipal Ordinance Citations can be paid in person or by mail at the Walworth County Clerk of Courts Office at 1800 County Trunk NN, Elkhorn, WI 53121, or online at https://www.wicourts.gov/ecourts/payonline.htm. When mailing a payment, please include your name and citation number.
