Walworth County is completing the installation of new control systems for the storm sirens located in communities throughout our county.  The new system links the siren system directly to the National Weather Service warnings for activation and also allows monitoring the readiness of the sirens.  Walworth County tests sirens on the third Wednesday of the month at noon as long as the weather is favorable and it does not look like there could be any severe weather in the area.  On Wednesday November 19th we are planning to thoroughly test the new control systems in conjunction with our normally scheduled testing day.  During that day, you may hear the sirens sounding multiple times in your community in order for us to thoroughly test all aspects of the system.  Please do not be alarmed, this will only be a test in order to ensure that all aspects of the system are functioning correctly.  If there is inclement weather on November 19th, and we need to postpone the test, then we will reschedule for December 17th, 2025.
